Introducing the Fall 2021 Colorwave Fellows — Cohort 3
65 new fellows added to our community — our largest class yet
When we started Colorwave, we were unequivocal that there was a massive amount of professionals of color eager, ready, and capable of being leaders in America’s innovation economy. Our goal was simple — to find them.
With our third cohort in just under a year, we have seen firsthand the wealth of Black, Latinx, and Native professional talent who are poised to make their mark within America’s venture-backed startup ecosystem.
Today, we welcome our largest cohort to-date of 65 new Colorwave Fellows.

- Racial Breakdown: Black/African/African-American (55%), Latinx (42%), Native (3%)
- Gender Breakdown: Female (57%), Male (39%), Non-binary/non-identifying (4%)
- Functional Representation: Consulting, Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations, Product, Sales, and SWE
- Geographical Representation: West (20%), Midwest (9%), South (14%), Mid-Atlantic (8%), Northeast (46%), International (3%)
- Companies and Organizations Represented: Accenture, AWS, AT&T, Citi, Coca-Cola, Exxon Mobil, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, Google, JP Morgan Chase, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Redfin, TikTok, and the U.S. House of Representatives
In less than a year, Colorwave has supported nearly 140 professionals of color in better understanding the venture-backed ecosystem and helping these leaders transition into roles across the sector from high-growth startups, venture firms, and large tech companies.
We are excited to welcome these new faces to our growing community and look forward to the impact they will have during and beyond our fellowship program!
