This spring Colorwave welcomes 50-plus new fellows

We are excited to continue building our movement toward broadening access to opportunity within the innovation economy for traditionally underrepresented communities. The start of 2023 has been marked by relative chaos in the job market, where it seems like we learn of new layoffs almost daily. Because of these turbulent market conditions, organizations and programs like Colorwave are needed more than ever to support professionals of color in navigating both their career journey and an unstable labor market.

Despite current market conditions, we are encouraged by the effectiveness and impact of our work. Several of our fellowship alumni have still transitioned to new roles across the innovation economy, and many of our earliest participants have experienced promotions in their positions. This speaks to the quality of our fellows and our selection process and further validates that when people of color are provided an equal opportunity to contribute to a growing organization, they flourish.

We are delighted to welcome our sixth fellowship cohort members this Spring and help propel them in their respective career journeys within the innovation economy.
